Season of our Joy |
The Feast of Tabernacles (Feast of Sukkot or Feast of Booths) is an eight day Judeo - Christian festival (the Season of our Joy) that pictures the establishment of the 1000 year messianic kingdom to be set up at the second coming of Yeshua the Messiah (Christ). It is one of the three pilgrimage festivals God gave the children of Israel in the Bible (Leviticus 23). It was during these festivals that the Israelites would bring their offerings and firstlings to the Temple in Jerusalem and enjoy a feast! Our Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot Booths) is like a rehearsal looking forward to that day when the King of Kings rules his people from Jerusalem and each nation goes up to celebrate it. (Zech 14:16)

Mizzou BSU Vision: Ruach |
Ruach is a Hebrew word that means 'wind', 'breath' or 'spirit'. We find God working through Ruach in creation, Jesus incarnating this on Earth, and believers indwelt by this in the Church. This weekend, students will explore what it means to have the breath of God within them, empowering them. They will be challenged to explore what it means to live in the same spirit that raised Christ from the dead. [Genesis 1:1-3; John 1:1-5; John 3; Acts 2:1-4; Romans 8:11]
Join Mizzou BSU as they host a retreat for high school and middle school students that challenge them to dig deeper into the Word. It's a great opportunity for youth groups and youth leaders to join together as a larger body, seeking the heart of the Lord.
Information: Email Ashley Williams at anwxr9@gmail.com or call the BSU at 573-449-3843. For more information on the BSU visit www.mizzoubsu.com.
